The river distance is 30.2 miles, if we assume the NPS map has the mileages correct. The same NPS map advises that at normal levels, the average time is 2 miles per hour. So for that trip you either need to plan on a 15 hour day, or do considerably better than the "average" mph.
Type of boat will make a huge difference, anyone in a shorter WW boat would be unlikely to enjoy this trip and would likely be holding back the rest of the group. It would be important to maintain a steady pace and not make too many stops, just not much "smell the roses" time (or time to pick up trash, one of my favorite pass-times).
But if you want to get a little exercise instead of just relax, or maybe you enjoy watching the scenery go by the same way I fixate on the glassy water flowing past me while on a surfing wave, then more power to you; you should enjoy the Buffalo in whatever way maximizes
your enjoyment!
(We do of course want a trip report, including starting and finishing times.)
