Is it worth the drive?

I would say no, but I've made the four hour trip from Springfield, MO twice now because there was no water elsewhere. It's a lot like the Tot as far as geology but doesn't have as many drops.

Yes it is. Its a great tune up river to get you back into the water. Count less places to work on any skills that you need. It also takes me 4.5 hours to drive to also the shuttle is short an sweet.

Worth it for sure. Great class 3 river with an easy shuttle. At the right water level it is great. :kayak:

I've only been there once, it was somewhere between 18 and 20 inches at D bridge, very much worth it to me. and

Thanks for the replies. We may have to try to hit it this year. From some of the photos and videos, it looks a little rougher than what we have paddled so far. The roughest water that we have paddled has been the Little Piney at 4ft on the Longpool gauge. Might put some more scratches on the old buffalo canoe :canoe: .

Bigger and more technical than the Piney for sure. You will have fun.
