Mas Agua (Appropriately named band for Whitewater School!)

Post by GN YAKN » Mon Apr 29, 2013 3:21 pm

Mas Agua will be Jammin for us on Saturday night at WW School. Four-piece band from Fort Smith that you will enjoy!

We will set up a small stage near the fish fry. Have need for a couple of Honda generators if anyone could step up and help with this detail!

I've got a generator but we want to be able to hear the band. Hondas are super quiet. Thought two might help keep us from tripping any breakers!

We will have an "Open Mic" event on Friday night to test out the sound system and stage. If you would like to perform for 15 minutes let me know and I'll put you on a schedule. You must bring your own instrument. Appropriate music for the mixed age "family" atmosphere!

Music is the language of the soul! Let's get soulful!

I'm available to assist with the set up and sound check if you need help. I'll bring a guitar and amp.

Fish, don't know tiny play boat, but could do you "Carthweels in a Rodeo Hole" with apologies to Lucinda!

To the tune of Car Wheels on a Gravel Road.......

Sittin in a playboat
Rockport at Malvern
Panic playin on the radio

Smell of home grown
Fishbait and diapers
Carthweels in a rodeo hole

Pick the front end up
Throw it back down
Turn your head and shoulders

Come on now son
We're gonna go for three ends
Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole

Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole
Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole

Look upstream
Here comes a big bass boat
Better get out of his way

When he hit the rocks
I'm gonna laugh my a** off
Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole

Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole
Cart Wheels in a Rodeo Hole

Again, Sorry Lucinda!

Awesome.

Here's Tiny playboat, to the tune of Janis Jopin's "Mercedes Benz":

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A tiny playboat.
My friends all do cartwheels,
While I sit and float.
I’ve surfed all the holes here
Till my shoulder is broke.
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A tiny playboat.

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A color TV.
My local forecast,
Is trying to find me.
If it rains on the river,
I won’t even see.
So Lord, won’t you buy me
A color TV.

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A big four-wheel drive.
The creeks are all running,
But I can’t get a ride.
I should be out paddling
Class three, four and five.
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A big four-wheel drive.

Everybody now…

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A tiny playboat.
My friends all do cartwheels,
While I sit and float.
I’ve surfed every hole here
Till my shoulder feels broke.
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me
A tiny playboat.

Wait, I thought it was:

Hold me closer tiny playboat.
Count the wave trains til the eddy........

Or, was it......
I'm your tiny playboat
Playboat for money
Boof when you don't want me to...........
You come too.

Let me know if you still need a generator. I have a Honda 2000 and can bring it if someone can keep it locked up. Me and my daughter will be leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be in a pickup.

Got with Ben and he is bringing his Honda gen. Can probably use one more small Honda gen if someone can bring one for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Thanks,

Dave

That could be an ACC fundraiser. I'll sing and people will put money in my jar if I'll shut up.

I want a job like yours, especially if you're retired and have time to post in the middle of the day.
