I have a Dagger Mamba that is about 5-6 years old and has some slight oil canning.

Is their any good way to fix this? I know it might be a long shot but just want to see if anyone has tried it.

Leave it upside down in the sun on a hot day. The hotter the better!

This will sometimes pop it right out!

Heat lamps, hot water, torches and sun light you've probably seen/heard 'em all by now. One technique that is fairly predictable can be found at: http://theweatheredpaddle.com/2/categor ... air/1.html -- just don't leave the boat unattended. The problem I have found that once oil canned a boat is forever proned to oil canning thus prevention is the key and that's no easy task either as you have to be careful to exposure to sun (in Arkansas!) and careful how the boat is stored, hauled and handled. Moreover it seems like US manfacturers keep trying to make plastic boats thinner and lighter which only further contributes to oil canning. Best advice: in the future, think Prijon.

If the oil canning is under your seat try stuffing some foam rubber under your seat to push the bottom out and leave it in there.
