I am thinking of doing the 10 mile trip from Hwy 36 (near Rose Bud) to the bridge north of Barney on the East Fork of the Cadron this weekend. IT is a about a half hour north of Conway. Right now the water is too high (9.3) but it will come down. 4-6 feet is nice. You can read about this section of the river in the Arkansas river guide which says it is one of the prettiest routes. It is narrower than the the North Fork. I will watch the gauge tomorrow and see about Saturday. Sunday is supposed to be warmer but the water level may drop too much. I've done this section about two dozen times and love the bluff, trees you have to paddle around, and the waves if the water is right. Would like a few people to go and help shuttle.
