We were planning on camping at Nantahala, but a cold front has moved in (currently snowing)! Anyone have sugestions on where we could stay...cabin, lodge, hotel, etc? Have kids with me and would like to make this trip as enjoyable as possible!
Thanks,
Casey

I don't know anything about nor have I ever been to the nantahala but I did see on boatertalk gear swap that there is a 2BR 2BA vacation rental some people have. You might check into it?

You can always try the hostel at the NOC ("basecamp"). This time of year, I bet you can get a room all to yourself. I think it's $15/person/night. Not nearly as cheap as camping, but way cheaper than most anything else, and they have heaters.

The cabins that NOC rents are really nice. Maybe a bit pricey. But nice. They are towards Bryson City about 5 miles from NOC store.

Thanks everyone! Another change in plans...with the cold front and snow, we've decided to stay here and ski for a few extra days instead of boating. It was a tough decision, but I think we'll be able to suffer thru it!!!
