Creek Info near Mt View
Creek Info near Mt View
If your driving north on Hwy 5, just before you get into Mt View you go over a tall bridge over this creek. It looks like it has potential, but haven't seen a sign with a name on it. Anyone know what creek this is?
Re: Creek Info near Mt View
I used to visit a friend there when I was in high school. I have fished, 4wheeled, swam, and some "other" things there in that creek. It's really a pretty creek with some nice bluffs. I've only seen it at low water as I was only there in the summer. I think your right though, with rain it would have potential.

I've never paddled anything in that area but I've got some interest in paddling Turkey creek down by Prim.

Maybe your thinking of Sylamore Creek? There is a North end and South end. When the water is up either can be a fun float. Class II tops. Best place to put in is up near the town of Fifty Six there is a low water bridge there. Cant remember the exact number of the road with the low water bridge on it, but you won't have any trouble finding it. The two creeks converge just above hwy 5 and it runs into the White River. Thats the only one I can think of that you might be referring to. Fantastic trout fishing in the area if your a fisherman. Especially just a little north of there at Calico Rock on the White River.
