Quick-N-Easy Roof Rack For Sale

Post by Canoe_Codger » Sun Feb 24, 2013 12:21 pm

I recently sold my antique Ford car and have no use for the roof rack I got for it. This old school Quick-N-Easy rack clamps to the raingutters. I has the crossbars made of ash thwart material by Essex of New York. They need a light sanding and Watco oil treatment, but are otherwise sound. The bars are 60" long (5') and the gutter mounts are set at 52" (4' 4") to match the Ford Falcon, but can be changed to wider or narrower to match your gutters. I am asking $75 O.B.O. plus shipping. If you want to use your own metal or wood crossbars, I'll keep the ash and sell just the mounts for $60 plus shipping.

Codger,

I don't need the rack, but wanted to say it looks like a dandy! By the way, what kind of car did you have?

Best Regards
Jim

I had a 1963 Falcon. I had several of them back when I lived around Benton, so I bought this one several years ago. I know that vehicles with raingutters are pretty much a thing of the past.

I hated to sell it. But I had bills to pay. Now I have to get a hitch setup for the Impala to pull the canoe trailer. My service truck just drinks too much gas.

One bump. If there is no interest here by Sunday, I'll add it to several other sites. I'll leave it here also and mark it sold if/when it sells. Also, price drop here only... $65 complete, $50 just the mounts plus shipping. As I said, vehicles with rain gutters are few and far between these days, so this rack may be a white elephant..
