No, not the stuff that supposedly turns an S10 pickup into a boat; this stuff http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp? ... eptid=1031" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. My buddy bought a Star from Byrd's last year that had about 73 pounds of some kind of goo on a seam and wouldn't hold air for ten minutes. It wasn't until I started the repair job that I realized I was in WAY over my head, but I did the best I could. Finally after countless hours and buzzes from fumes I got it stiff enough to barely get from Remmel to Rockport. We put it up after Rendezvous as I was out of material and patience. We finally got it out last week and I resumed the hack job. I was able to diagnose the remaining leaks (many and big) and reduce their volume (more patches than my Toughskin jeans had when I was a pup) and number, but I just couldn't get them completely stopped. Someone with more experience probably could have, but fortunately we had had the foresight to order a couple of the Flexseal kits. We poured one in Monday night and by Tuesday things were much better. There are still a couple of small leaks, but a boat that wouldn't even hold air long enough to reach 1.5 PSI will now hold 2 PSI for several hours and the volume of leakage has slowed to the point that we're comfy taking it on the Current loaded for a three day float this weekend. Some time after we return and all the gear is put away we'll pour in the second kit. I suspect we just missed the spots that are still leaking, because they're all on top of the tubes and we didn't pay as much attention to those areas. I'm hopeful that the second application will resolve them and we'll be able to take it down the Mulberry once again. I'll report back after round two, but so far I can recommend the kit as a cost effective and pretty easy way to resurrect an old beat up inflatable that might otherwise be headed for the landfill.
You come too.
