Truck stuck in Mulberry River

Post by Dr. Steve Yaney » Mon Feb 11, 2013 12:28 pm

FRANKLIN COUNTY —Two children are inside a truck stuck in the Mulberry River, according to Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen.

Rescue crews are off Highway 215. The father made it out, but the two children are still inside.

Someone go check this out and give us updates!!!!

A couple of 16 year olds got their truck stuck in the river. Good pic with the article: http://5newsonline.com/2013/02/11/sheri ... high-water" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We were waiting at mill creek waiting for shuttle after our run yesterday and those kids drove down Plymuth rd and forded the Mulberry at Queensbury Ford. We were commenting that they were crazy as the river was already pretty high and rising. We were right, they were idiots.

No they made it across that evening. There were 3 of them in the truck. They must have skipped school to have more fun this morning, and the lower finally got all the water from the upper section.

Aw now, go easy on them! Who among us doesn't have at least one "crazy thing / near miss" story to tell about our own teenage years? Just a couple of guys out having fun and learning one of those life lessons. The way I read the story, daddy and / or friends would have got them out OK, but somebody trying to help called 911. I'm not downplaying what could have happened, that's why we call them "near misses". And I do wish I had been there to see it!

I'm still writing my "crazy thing / near miss" stories, but you're right chapter one began when I was a teenager.
