This is a video Jamie made from Gulpha Creek Saturday afternoon. It was up higher than either of us had ever seen it, and was almost like running a new river. I did not make this video edit, it's kinda crappy quality because Jamie emailed it to me and had to send the smallest version he could, but it does give an idea of how fast the water is moving through there! Most of the trees that fell into the river due to the snow got flushed out, and as you see in the video, the one huge tree that was channel wide got pushed down river about 100 yards and the root wad was right in the middle of the channel. There was a run river right, but directly below the run was another large strainer on river right, which is why we chose to portage. Enjoy!
