We're all tempted to run down the mountain for something. Fourche is good down to what level... gauge shows down to it'll stay till 3.5 but is it worth it lower? What time were y'all thinking about getting out?

Was thinking we could lap the tot :mrgreen: falls down to about 2.5

I may be interested also depending on what runs. And yes..what time are you thinking on this Gordon? I will check back early to see what the levels look like.

Several of us are going to try and paddle Hot Springs creek and Gulpha creek. HS creek was already at the minimum this afternoon and we've gotten more rain since. The gauge for the creek seems to be malfunctioning because I've checked 3 times visually over the last week and its flowing much heavier than last week. The gauge is stuck at .51. Also the Gulpha will be flowing good tomorrow. Saturday we did it at 4.2 and was fun. Tomorrow I think it will be at least 4.5. May do the east fork Gulpha if time. It was a nice short run we did Saturday as well. 870-243-7101

I've run it at about 3.8 and it was ok. 3.5 is gonna be low but hey, it's New Years and I think paddling is good luck. Call me if you are interested. 501-944-0480. M.J. and I are meeting at 9:00 AM in LR.

They are both listed as Class 2+. HS creek is 2 miles and Gulpha is 2.5. East fork Gulpha is about 3/4 to 1 mile. Easy shuttles and right in town. That's the best part. You can check them both out here. http://class2arkansas.com/hot-springs-creek/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Billy W, Jody and myself did South Fork at about 3.6 on Sunday. Bony in places but you get down them. But we also had a shortened trip with Tim Muse running a one-way shuttle for us and Billy knowing where to get in! Be careful.

Roger,

Where did you put in and take out? Also, what's up with Big Creek? I noticed it jumped up again on the USGS gauge. Can you get a visual in the am? Anyone thinking about the Caddo, Cadron Creek, Cove Creek or anything else?

It's 5am and the Tot is at 3.7. Anybody interested in meeting down there? Time? Open-boaters?

I can guarantee you there will be folks at the Falls Campground on the Tot, sometime between 10:30 and noon, to set shuttle with and run the river. Don't wait for replies here, too many people will be hitting the road this morning without checking the message board. Go!
