The White River watershed, which includes a large part of Arkansas and Missouri, is receiving the designation of National Blueway! As supporters of this the ACC and members are invited to the signing in Little Rock.

Dear Friend of the White River Watershed:

Please join Deputy Secretary of the Interior David Hayes, Deputy Undersecretary of Agriculture (Natural Resources & Environment) Ann Mills, and Assistant Secretary for the Army (Civil Works) Jo-Ellen Darcy (invited) for a ceremony on January 9, 2013 to recognize the White River Watershed as the nation’s second National Blueway.

The Deputy Secretary will present a designation document officially recognizing the White River Watershed as a National Blueway. This recognition will promote collaboration, coordination, and communication among partners within the watershed on behalf of conservation, recreation, education, and sustainable economies.
