Does anyone know where a good spot to camp by the South Fourche? I went to google maps and found River Road Recreation Area and a few others. Are this good spots? Need a little help.
Thanks Nathan

Re: Camping @ Fourche River
Isn't the put in at the Hollis campground on Hwy 7?
There is also Iron Springs which is north of Jessieville on Hwy 7 and TONS of nice camp spots in the Forest between Hwy 7 and 9.
If you wanted a spot on the river then I am not familiar with them.

There is a campground right after the Hollis bridge that crosses the SFL on your left if coming from the North. It's a State Forest campground with several sites and the put in is right down some steps from the campground. Good spot.
Here's a ling with a map of put in / take out:

Hhhmmm... What a dumb over reaction.
According to this http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/campin ... nal+Forest it looks like South Fourche is still open for camping but iron springs isn't.

Use Google Maps and search for Cove Creek Lake. Forest road 210 off hwy 7 will take you right down to the river & there is some great open camping right next to the river.
Gets kind of busy during deer season.
