Doctors release for Eric Esche

Post by Eric Esche » Mon Sep 24, 2012 5:35 pm

Just got back from the doctors and I thought I would announce some good news for a change.

Orthopedist has released me to stop wearing the #@$&*(*&%)^&%* sling and for me to start paddleing again, ALTHOUGH SLOWLY and LIGHTLY, but that he thought that paddleing would be in my best interests now as physical therapy, and probably mentally as well. YAHOOOOOOO>>>>>> :yahoo: :D    :drool2: :canoe: :kayak: :yahoo:

Not to say that I am not still in pain daily and nightly and cussing and drinking at times. I am still on a 5 pound maximum weight limit overhead. (he does not know about those maximum sized marine batteries for the trolling motor) It will still take a few months to get back and possibly a year to 100% or as close as I can get, but it is a BIG step back. :yahoo:

Glad to hear you're healing well.Do what the doc says,I had rotator cuff surgery more years ago than I would like to admit then dislocated my shoulder again playing frisbee at Busch Bash.Wish I had'nt done that.
I think a midnight toddy run at Dave's would be goood P.T.Still don't know where we went that night but I had a good time.

Glad you got good news Eric.

When I tore 4 ligaments in my right wrist I thought I would not paddle again. Two years later I found I was able to. Hope the same for you but quicker!

Dave
