Yoga for Paddlers

Post by 74broncogirl » Wed Sep 19, 2012 5:23 pm

I'm looking for a DVD that teaches yoga that is beneficial for paddlers. I think it's by the River Gypsies. I have seen it as a download but want to old school it and get the DVD. Does anyone know where I can get a copy? Thanks!!!

There's one by Anna Levesque: http://www.watergirlsatplay.com/webstore/

I have also been looking for the older DVD, not the Anna Levesque version. Any reviews?

Thanks,

I happened to notice this: http://www.yoga-ventures.com/shoulders.html

While reading about building knee blocks on a webiste that calls itself River Gypsies:http://www.brushymountainpublishing.com/kneeblocks.html

They appear to have a couple of yoga DVD's in their store.

Nice find Sig!! The old Yoga For Paddlers DVD that has been out of print is a (2-part) digital download now. I might even download it tomorrow and bring it to Rendezvous with me. :)

I am not convinced that "Yoga for Shoulders" is the whole story. Keeping our shoulders strong and flexible is important for injury prevention, but core strength and flexibility is where we get power, efficiency, and effective rolls! Not as sure for kayakers, but for C-boaters, ankle and leg flexibility also helps with locking yourself into the boat, and staying comfortable during long days on the water.

Thanks,
Shep
