Rockport 5800 CFS. Too much?

Post by 737driver » Mon Sep 17, 2012 10:45 am

I've got the itch to paddle today. I can only go for a few hours or I'd run the S. Fourche. Although its getting pretty high for my experience probably. I've never been to Rockport while they were generating at 5800 CFS. Would everything be washed out at this level? Anyone wanna go around noon or so?

Clay if you can find time later this week the South Fourche should stay at a runnable through the week. I'm available any day, we had great run on sunday with a prefect group. Let me know if you want to go as I'll be going a couple of days regardless. 501-922-1716. BOB

Thanks Bob. How long does it take to float. I've got to leave for work in the am but back on Friday. If its still flowing, I'll go.

Clay its an 11 miles float with a 21 mile shuttle so about 5 hours. I would think the drive to the Highway 7 put-in from your house would be about 1:15 hr. Im definitely paddling it tomorrow, tuesday. Let me know if your interested friday. BOB
