Louis, Gary and I reserved a room at Rivers Edge lodge for 12, 13, 14. Plan to paddle with ya'll Sat and Sun. Hope ya'll are staying closer in like Alley Springs as we want to visit in the evenings. Our lodge is near the bridge on the river.

I have booked a room at Shady Lane Motel for Oct. 12,13 and 14. I'll bring camp gear in case I decide to stay longer!
$45 per night for 2 people if anyone wants to share expenses, only has one bed but I have an air mattress I can bring

Karla and Phil:
We campers will be staying at Pulltite Spring on the Current River, about 17 miles above Eminence. Unless we get substantial rain in the next two weeks we'll paddle the Current each day and Pulltite will be our takeout (Sat) and put in (Sun). Rivers Edge is great, Judy and I stayed there in March and it's quiet and has a porch with a view of the Jack's Fork. Judy and I have been travelling in Missouri and Illinois for a week, but I'm back and checking the computer for messages again,

I'm seriously considering driving up after work on Friday and trying to paddle Saturday and Sunday with you all. I'll camp at Pulltite. It depends on how hectic my work week is...we'll see!

We've got 12 - 15 paddling Saturday and Sunday, about 6 - 8 also paddling Monday - Wednesday. Weather potential is for gorgeous, spectacular fall weather, highs in the 70's, nights upper 40s, some nice fall color. Be sure to check your email if you've expressed interest in the trip.

Many thanks for Louis for organizing the trip and opening it up for all to join!
He could not have picked a better weekend for weather or for fall colors. It was really spectacular up there and I swear it got better from Saturday to Sunday. It was warm both days, super pleasant at night. Get this: we had rain from 10:30pm until 4am overnight on Saturday. PERFECT night in the tent hearing the pitter patter on the rain fly, but all clear by morning to crawl out and cook breakfast! We saw a few bald eagles both days, and also had a couple nice mink sightings, including one where the little fella just kept frolicking over the rocks and logs even as a small group formed to watch him. I think Ed may have gotten some pics which he'll hopefully post to share.
Great group of paddlers - really enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to paddle with you all for a couple of days!
Thanks so much Louis for sharing your campsite with me, and for the GREAT burgers you cooked up for everyone Saturday night. FANTASTIC!
