GEAR SALE
General Rules:
All students, university faculty/staff, HPER members and community members may participate in this event. It is open to the public. All bidders must be at least 18 years of age. The sale will be held in HPER GYM 2 on Thursday September 20, 2012.
All participants will receive a list of items and a bidding number. When bidding on an item the bidder will use his/her number to represent their bid. There is no limit to the number of items on which a single participant can bid; however, items cannot be grouped. Minimum bids are placed on all items. Some items have $1 minimum increments while others are $5 minimum increments.
A driver’s license is required at time of check-in. The sale will begin at 6:00 p.m. and bids can be placed until 8:00 p.m. At 8:00 p.m. bid sheets will be collected. Any bids made after the final call will not be considered. Items will be awarded a winner at 8:30 p.m. Winners must be present to win item (s). If winner is not present then the item will be awarded to the next highest bidder.
Items must be removed immediately after the event. Items will not be held for later pick up. Straps, ropes and pads are not provided to load any item(s). Item loading/transport is the responsibility of the awarded party. Checks only accepted for payment; no cash or credit cards. Payment must be made in one check per person. Checks must be made out to Department of Finance and Administration; Marketing and Redistribution, or simply, DFA; M and R. There is a 9.25% sales tax on all items.
Items cannot be viewed prior to event. A list of items is available at the Outdoor Connection Center. There are no warranties on equipment. All items are sold “as is.”
