Well, since this is the Recreational page, my answer may be unexpected: Don't Forget Bayou DeView!
Even if the Northern and Western parts of our state get hit, which may or may not happen, the WW will only last a couple of days.
But for a week or two it is likely that Bayou DeView and some of our other favorite "swamp paddling" type locations in Eastern Arkansas will soon have good water, and we will be able to paddle in places that have not been available to us since spring.
Trash: Get a little every time you go!

If you plan a swamp paddle on a weekend in the near future, I want to go! Please let me know!

In the very near future, one or two weeks away, my girlfriend and I will load up and go. We will send advance notice to Bronco Girl and anyone else who wants to run. I guess I will leave my safety helment with the deer antlers at home.

I was worried that Bayou Deview would fill with seawater and we'd have to paddle it backwards.

I'm in for a good swamp session! Anywhere there's H20 and scenery, be the water white, blue, clean green or mucky . . . . Holla!

yea!!!!!! Just give me an idea of when you're thinking about going. I may have an extra paddler with me.
