Last time that happened, Pam and I changed directions from heading east to due south. Nothing like spending several days with thousands of refugee's in a basketball gym in Shreveport.

During the years I've been in the canoe club, I've always enjoyed telling the newer people I'm floating with at the time about the club, and even moreso about the paddling skills of others, and also what a diverse group we are, or have been professionally as individuals. I'm always amazed when I take stock of the number of nurses and doctors in the club. You're all just our everyday paddling 'Buds', but much more when needed!
