RAIN and METEORS!!!!!

we finally got a decent rain, I live in Jacksonville and went out and checked my rain gauge this morning and we got a little over 2" here, lots of thunder and lighting starting about 2:30 this AM, electricity flickered on and off. did anyone else get out and see the meteor shower? i saw about 15 metoers between 2-3 am saturday really cool PAM

Cool. I was wondering how much we actually got. I heard the fireworks all night and saw the wet ground this morning but wasn't really sure about the rainfall total. I watered last night, so you're welcome. Little Deuce and I were camping on lake Ouachita Friday night and saw a couple of meteors.

We were out on Lake Ouachita Saturday night until after midnight. We saw 4 go blowing over! Not sure how to post a photo, but we got a wavy photo of one from a rocking boat. It was very windy all night.

I was in Cabot this weekend and got to see over 50 meteors Saturday night while petting a bird dog in the back yard. They seemed to come from all directions and angles. Tipper will let me pet her for hours and does not care if I am distracted at times.

Heard from my mother-in-law today that Cabot got an inch of rain last night.
