Spring River, Man Made Changes

Post by R_Corter » Mon Jul 30, 2012 1:18 pm

Saddler Falls-Dead Mans Curve. Since I was there last summer lots of changes. It is not nearly as difficult or as fun. Rocks have been moved and water re-routed.Man Has made to many changes on this section. I dont mind the concrete walls on the adjoining propertys to the river but it is getting excessive. I like natural I hope it rains soon and often! :canoe:

The rock work at Dead Man's Curve was done recently because too many canoes were getting pinned on the point of the concrete pad there. It was really dangerous, considering the lack of experience, sheer numbers and excess alcohol of party people on the river. I heard rumors of lawsuits if something was not done there, since it had already had man made changes done.
