Tracy and I are planning to hit Rockport this weekend.

We'd like to run from the dam to the ledge on Sunday (and maybe Saturday if we can get down there in time)

Who else is hangin' at the ledge this weekend?

Probably gonna bring little Deuce down on Saturday, and I'm sure the contingent will grow in the next few days.

Man I wish...

Maw-in-law is having hip replacement surgery Mon. 6/18 so I gotta take the better half to MS this weekend so she can stay with her for a spell.

I plan on being there the next weekend 6/23 and/or 6/24 though.

Deuce, hopefully I won't miss you again this time.

closest camping option is probably gonna be Lake Catherine State Park. There may be other options that I am unaware of.

Tent or RV? The state park is indeed the closest and is really nice but it may be full. It's very popular, especially this time of year. There's a brand new place up by Carpenter Dam that looks really nice, but I don't think they have any tent sites. Here's a link. http://www.catherineslanding.rvcoutdoors.com/what" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; We spend quite a bit of time on Catherine and I watched the place go up (only watched from the water) thinking they were nuts to build it because a three thousand acre lake just doesn't seem like it would present that much potential for commerce, but they seem to be doing really well thus far. We cruised by there one Saturday in May and the joint was jumping. Rental Kayaks, kanaks and SUPs were everywhere. I was glad to see it. Any way, I digress, but y'all would probably enjoy staying there. It's on the opposite end of the lake and doesn't get that much boat traffic.

We're tent campers.
