Green River permit! (Dinosaur Monument)

Post by L.A.paddler » Mon May 28, 2012 3:04 pm

I applied for and received a Yampa permit this year (launch July 8th). As the Yampa's snowpack is setting at about 35% for the year. :( I decided to call and cancel our trip since there would in all likelyhood not be enough water to run my new 143 D Aire raft down the river.
But to my surprise, when I called they offered to allow me to transfer my permit to the Green river instead. We will be putting in at Lodore and taking out at Split Mountain (launch date Sunday July 8th). As of now I only have two rafts on this trip. I would like to add another experienced raft or two if possible?? I would probably be up for adding a kayaker or open boater if they where a good fit for our crew as well???
The kicker is that I would need too know pretty soon. I have to have my permit with passenger list turned in thirty days prior. Which is a little over a week away. I apologize for the late request. But I just found out that they would let me transfer my permit.
This is a beautiful run, with a lot of history behind it. I am looking for experienced paddlers with their own gear for multi-day trips. If you are interested please PM me or call me at
