USCA Aluminum Canoe National Championships (June 23, 2012)

Dust off the aluminum canoes and start getting ready for June 23rd, not much else to do right now anyway with the river levels so low. The aluminum nationals this year are in Arkansas on the White river from Calico Rock to Sylamore. In addition to the usual men and women classes, there is also a men and women masters class for those 40 and over and a men and women junior class for those that turn 18 this year and younger. Dale and I and a few others paddled the race course this weekend and the water is low but there is plenty of water for the race. It should be a fun race. There are paddlers coming in from Illinois, Texas and Florida that I know of right now. There is race day registration at the start in Calico Rock under the bridge at 8 am.
