Down girls, let's not get too excited.

Thank you Kim for your post. It's not quite the honor it might be otherwise; the articles were not selected on their merit. You see I am president of the Saline County History and Heritage Society, and it so happens that I am also the defacto editor of The Saline. Since we were short of material this time, and I had an abundance of articles that I have been working on over the past couple of years, I used my articles as filler. I've told the members that all the filler material has been used, and I need some contributions for the fall edition. So you see it was pure despiration that I put four of my own articles in the one journal.

Karla, for $20 you can become a member of the Saline County History and Heritage Society and receive both of this years' journals, or you can buy one issue for $10, or if you ask me just right, I might let you borrow my copy.

Thanks again to you both!
Marlo

Marlo,
For a kayaker, your "river lies" skills are not very well developed. :poke:

You could have said it this way:

"Thank you so much - I'd been working on those articles for over two years, so you can imagine how happy I was when the editor decided to publish all four of them in the same issue!"

(Some of the best river lies are totally true...)

I failed my "Spin" class in school.
But just wait until I have a fish story to tell. :fish: It just grows on you.
Guess I'll just have to work on my "river lies" skills.
