Need a rack for my jeep liberty 08
hello im a newb to the site and this will be my first post, i have a 08-12 style jeep liberty and my jeep did not come with the raised rails on the sides , just wondering where i can find a rack to fit mine or if anyone on here has one to sell. also looking for a nice sit on top boat , not picky just show me what you got :) i have cash waiting to be spent

im new to paddling and would love any advice on the subject im open to anything. what id like to do is be able to float the mullberry etc. and also do some paddle on lakes as well as fishing :) any advice at this point would be great cause im clueless. i am going up to ozark mountain trade company tomorrow to price some boats .( i was told this is the place to go if i decide to buy from a dealer)

You can figure out which Yakima or Thule setup you need on their respective websites, then peruse the for sale thread for the "towers" that will fit your ride. There is also a cheaper option that uses straps to attach to your roof, but certainly not the best option. OMTC is a good resource for new SOT's.

OMTC was the right place to go :) I now own a 10 ft perception pescador And we managed to get it on my jeep using foam blocks w/ straps . Turn out Yakima only makes racks for my jeep that go onto factory raised side rails ..... I don't have those so I think a cheaper route might be just converting a jet ski trailer into a boat hauler

I have an 08 liberty and had a similar problem. There is no good factory set up. If you remove the side rail you will find 8 threaded bolts. I had a rack made at a welding shop that attaches to the 8 bolts. Total investment $450.
