Kayak Demo Day

Post by Jeremy M » Tue Apr 24, 2012 8:30 am

Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters is hosting a 2 Day Kayak Demo Event at Lake Ouachita State Park this Saturday and Sunday from 12-4p.m. both days. Recreational Kayaks from Native Watercraft, Liquid Logic, Hobie Kayaks, Feel Free, Venture, Perception, Dagger, Wilderness Systems, and more! Drop by either day if you've been interested in trying out some boats and spread the word if you know of someone who has been looking to try before they buy.

Thanks ACC!!!

How do you get there from Hot Springs?
Will you be bringing anything besides kayaks.
Thank you,
Don :canoe:

Hey Don,

Unfortunately we don't have any 'demo' canoes or open boats available, but will be bringing our full 2012 Line-up of Recreational kayaks, including the Liquid Logic Remix XP9 and XP10, and we'll also have some Stand Up Paddle Boards available for demo. All boats at the demo will be available for purchase (except the Hobie Mirage Tandem Island). Hope to see you and some other folks from the ACC out there!

@Owl...thanks for hooking up the directions!

Well the first day of Demo Days was a lot of fun, but yet again, the canoe club never ceases to amaze! Big thanks to all of you guys that came out and supported us at this event, Renee, Maggie, Jason, John, Brandy, A.K., Cowper, Edgar, Karla, Gary, and all the others. You guys were a true help indeed and we hope you guys had fun too!! If I've forgotten anyone, just blame it on sun exposure.

Tomorrow....ROUND 2!

No, Thank YOU for going to all the work to drag multiple touring boats out to Lake Ouachita State Park today!

It was really great being able to hop quickly from one boat to another, for side-by-side comparisons of handling and speed.

Anyone considering adding a touring or lake boat to their stable ought to head out that way tomorrow for day two.

My only regrets are
1) I still haven't figured out which one I liked the best, and
2) I'm kicking myself for not letting you take me for a spin in that sailing trimaran of yours.

Thanks for the replies,if things work out a local boater will be able to fill my needs on rounding out my open boat fleet.
The stand up paddling sounds interesting but the Astrobago requires a fuel pump. The $400.00 towing bill home from Turner Bend last Canoe School makes me think twice about pushing my luck on putting off auto repairs.
Don
P.S.Thanks for taking care of my Outrage while I was gone,it made it easier
to tow my truck without a canoe in the bed.

Jeremy and the rest of the OOO crew... Thanks for your time and patience with our questions this weekend! The event was great and we learned a lot. Can't wait to pick up our boats after work tomorrow.
