bayou meto clean up april 21

the clean up day in jacksonville is april 21.
come out and float/walk the bayou. lots of litter to pick up.
water is low now, so plan on canoes and kayaks.
city will furnish bags and drinking water.
3 places to put in; west main bridge, dupree park, and hwy 161.
i think cowper has gps coordinates.
several places to drop and tie off bags til water comes up for power boat to pick up.
good chance to chain saw limbs and logs and drag them up the bank.

Jack, some questions:

1) Do you know which areas the stream teams are meeting at? (I'd like to see the ACC working together with them if that works out.)

2) Is there a recommended starting time for check-ins?

3) Bayou Meto at Lonoke is showing a slight rise; are levels improving in the clean-up area enough to give additional boat options?

rain friday may help. still low.
i have not worked with teams this year. being handled by ron newport of keep jax beautiful. told me debbie was tech advisor.
start any time , preferably after breakfast with the lions at the middle school.
middle school kids will be planting daffodils at boat ramps and battlefield after 1030. jack

thanx to cowper and debbie, tires, coolers, bags of cans and bottles , a tv set, a car gas tank and lots of other treasures have been removed from the bayou. thanx guys!
