Some of the flavor of Hill Creek shows through in this short video:

A lot of the Class II paddlers in the area will do fine on this beautiful creek. You can tell from the video that there are a lot of rocks to to wiggle around. Some rapids are very long and will be a workout, but there isn't a serious penalty for messing up. Pools are short, except for the lake paddle to the take out. It's a lot like the Cadron in the second rapid below the Pinnacle Springs bridge.
I have a half hour video that can be yours if you send me a stamped, self addressed envelope for a dvd.

I am in AWE

of this scenery on this creek. How I would love to be there and see it. Not sure if I would be able to paddle it though. This is one of your best video with the scenery, music and the motor power boat ride

Thanks, Karla. The camera couldn't capture the full effect of being there with all the birds singing. The scale of the bluffs, the many shades of green, and the blooming redbuds don't show up either.
YouTube has really become strict on using music. I thought any non-commercial use was okay; not in today's world. I hadn't posted a video in a couple years and used some pop tunes in my Bayou Des Arc film; it was rejected until I put some ten year old music together with it, and that was only allowed with the requirement that the music source could advertise on my video if they wanted to. Even my old video that uses the William Tell Overture (composed in 1829) can't be shown by YouTube in some countries due to copyright laws. The Hill Creek video uses some short snips of a famous composition written in 1942; maybe the short segments allowed it to fly under the radar, as they say. I guess I'm going to have to take up singing to get some musical content in the videos.
I haven't paddled with you in quite a while so I can't say how you'd do at paddling the creek. I'm going to guess you would do fine; maybe you'd have to brace a lot. I am rusty after a two year layoff and was on my brace all day. A little challenge is sometimes what we need to improve our game.
