Another good trip yesterday on the Upper Ouachita! We had a nice sunny, warm day and ten in our group. At about 3.50 feet the river was very nice. We had four in the group who had never been to Dragover and were delighted with the scenery and the surfing possibilities. Thanks to everyone for the nice day!

Good times! Thanks to the kruegers and Roland's for putting this together
Thanks as well for waiting for us. I'm not sure I would have waited on anyone that long.

Jim,
I saw this post earlier, but I knew that Noah had a soccer game so there was no chance we could go. (He's the gaoalie, so we can't skip out.) I'm just curious for future floats since we have never been to Dragover before. Based on your history with us, do you think that this would be advisable to take Noah and Caitlin on, or would we be better off to pass? It does not offend me at all when someone suggests to pass up a particular float. Noah loves floating, but their safety is always my number one concern. Sounds like you all had a blast! Sure hope to see you all soon.

The level was 3.5 which is good, not too high. They would probably be fine. We took Minna's son for the first time on Dragover and he is 18 and did fine. But I would not go it alone but with a group in case they flip. There is one rapid called house rock where it is a drop and you have to hit it just right.

Ann, I now realized that I put May not March. Oh well, we won't be there that date. Hopefully something else will be flowing.

Hate that we missed it. That is my favorite section of the upper Ouachita. But with roll class Fri. night in Shreveport, getting home at midnight, Hannah haveing an AP pre-test Sat. a.m. and a gun club work day for me we just couldn't swing it. Hope to make this run with y'all later.

Sandy and Chris,
I know how it is with having other commitments, however I know we'll have quite a few more floats on the Upper Ouachita and Caddo rivers this Spring before the water plays out for the Summer. I want to get back to the Caddo this weekend if we get some rain to bring it back up.
Sandy, I think if Dragover is in the 3foot range or the Caddo is in the 6.50foot range, it will be fine for Caitlin and Noah. I think they would have a ball
Best Regards
Jim
