Need help. I have a Prijon Luv and I need determine a fair value for the boat. Any suggestions on who to contact or a web site to consult. I'm not sure of the year model. Is there a way to tell from the hull number?

Re: Kayak values
Serial number should be engraved/melted in on back or front end of boat near the end about on the water line or just above or below it. Last 4 digits of the serial number should give you month and year.
To see what folks are asking for the boat nation wide, try going to http://www.paddleswap.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ,type in the model only, blank out the GPS coordinates (or otherwise it gives you just what is within 150 miles) and then hit enter.
Less information in the search bar is better. IF you type in Prijon and the model name, you get ALL Prijon models.
Example: for Mad River Canoes, just type in Mad or the model name desired, other wise you get any listing with Mad, River, or Canoe
I just did it for Luv, and got prices from $200-400. One boat may be listed on multiple craigslists and other websites, so you have to look at each listing to tell. Listings may include packages deals beyond just the boat, so look at each listing to tell.
You can also try looking at what they bring on http://www.boatertalk.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and other sale sites. Do a google or other internet search engine search for used kayak sale site and you will get several other places to look.
You might also ask Ozark Mountain Trading Company in Garfield what they would give you for the boat as a trade-in on a new boat if you go by there for them to see the boat. They are the only store I know of who regularly takes in used boats in trade. They have a pretty good turn over in used boats so they must be doing it regularly. I bought one from them and know of others who were also very pleased, both used and new. I do not work for them, just a satisfied customer.
Good luck.
