For those familar with this area, what can you tell me about a creek crossing hwy 156? It runs southeast of Greenland. My son tells me that he thinks it is a fork of the White. I didn't realize there was a White (river/creek) in that part of the state. Is this stream floatable? Put-in? take-out?
Anyway, my son is relatively new to that part of the world and is out discovering the surroundings. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

That's the West Fork of the White River. At times, it's floatable all the way up from Winslow. At West Fork there is a dammed small lake. During the season, it's floated further down, behind the airport. It joins the main White River below the Lake Sequoyah dam.
