Used canoes and rafts for sale

Post by Zen B. » Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:16 pm

Byrd's is updating the 2012 rental fleet and has a number of used Buffalo and Old Town tandem canoes for sale. Prices range from $100 to $400 per boat, depending on condition.

There's also a well used 8-person Star raft for sale. It's still a floater but could use some handiwork in a few places.

A few used Torrent sit-on-top kayaks will be available soon. They're good boats and very tough.

:kayak: Please call ahead to check out the used boats: 479-667-4066 :canoe:

I called three times yesterday and left my digits, but as of yet no one has called be back. I'd call again but don't want to be a pest. :poke2: Is the Star a fourteen footer? What kind of handiwork does she need. Very interested and wish I could talk to someone.

Apologies for the missed calls. It's been crazy here the past few days (spring break + good water + warm weather = ). We thought all calls were returned--will check messages again in the a.m.

Thanks for your interest!

Actually, my apologies for being a jackass. I checked my phone immediately after typing this and one of your lovely ladies had called me back. I was just being impatient. Now it's time to order some glue.
You come too.

No worries. Glad you found something you can enjoy.

Yesterday we sold an Old Town canoe to a nice couple for $100. They made a successful voyage from High Bank to Byrd's and headed home happy (and dry) with a good boat strapped on top. This is what we like to see.

Any others left around the $100 price tag? On a very limited budget right now but the wife and I would sure like to have one.

Looks like we've sold all the $100-$200 canoes. We still have quite a few good boats in the $200-$400 range. Call ahead at 479-667-4066

That appears to be the case--looks like the Buffalos are gone. The boats we have left are tandem Old Town Kineo 158s, which have proven to be superior for the whitewater of the Mulberry.
