Heading up around 11 to pick up the road a bit; probably run a shuttle around noon for anyone that wants to go down the river. It's getting a bit low, but there's still a little bit of surfing, and nice shoals with no dragging at all for anyone who is just wanting to run down the river.
Also spotted some more tires that we managed to miss on previous trips, all concentrated in one area. (Good practice for the Mulberry Clean up next weekend.)
UPDATE: Still going, but let me be clear:
1) If you can't or just don't want to help with the clean up, no worries, I'll still help you run your shuttle if you get there by noon.
2) You don't have to come by the put-in. To anyone with morning commitments - just go put in. If you launch by 2:30, you're pretty much guaranteed to find me still on the river; I'll run you back to the top at the end of the day. But I do mean "end of the day" - you may get to the take out before me, but I will not leave you stranded with no way to get to your car. Just to be sure, I'll check at Pinnacle Springs bridge before I leave the area; if you need a shuttle, leave a note on your windshield so I'll know there is someone on the river counting on me.

Re: Cadron Sunday 2/26/12
Well, thank you sir!
With the warm weather, made it out Saturday and Sunday; weekend haul came to 10 tires, 8 bags of trash (two from the river, six from the ACC-adopted stretch of Hwy 65), a freon canister, a helmet, a crutch, and of course a bunch of other random items. I cheated a little bit by taking the jon boat.
Also found a backpack with a handwritten letter, cap, food bars, a cup, valentines cards, a camo australian-style bush cap, gloves, plastic flowers, gloves, an undershirt, a small teddy bear, a roll of toilet paper, and a few other odds and ends. Kinda spooky finding something like that thrown in the bushes beside the road, what's up with that? Curious enough that I turned that one in to the police so they could try to figure out if it connects with anything else they might be interested in like a run-away or missing persons report.
Saw about 6 boats, 8 people total on the river for both days combined. One made the mistake of talking to me, so I loaded him up with a tire to carry down to the take-out.
All in all, a pretty entertaining weekend...
