This years race will be June 2nd at Murray park down River to the I-30 boat ramp a distance of 5.5 miles.
There will be all size boats there from the 10ft kayaks to 24 ft tandem kayaks.
Lots of door prizes and swag for the race.
Last years race brought in paddlers from about 5 states along with many members from the US National team.

Some of the true heroes of the sport have been coming to Little Rock the last couple of years.
Come out and see and paddle against the greatest paddlers in the US, you don`t get a chance like this everyday!!

I am planning on competing again this year and hope the rest of y'all will join me. Hopefully I will be able to beat last year's time!

Unless we get a lot of rain the next couple off weeks the River should be running pretty slow, which means its a great time to take the younger ones down the River. If your a first timer it should be great for you, you get a fun paddle down the Arkansas River into downtown Little Rock with safety boats watching you all the time.
It should be fun to see the Stand Up Paddle boards for the first time in the race.
Get signed up soon to get a tshirt and there will be plenty of swag and door prizes!!!

This time last year the River flow was about 125k cfs and today there was no current, I went faster up River with a tail wind.
It will be a great time to see the River and paddle through downtown Little Rock.
We need some more Stand up Paddle board people to sign up to make it a good race.

I hope everyone that came had a great time!! We had great weather and a slow river which made for a really nice race. Thanks to the Canoe Club with the help and all the volunteers.
The Race has grown to be one have some of the fastest people in the US.
This year we even had Stand Up Paddle boards.
We had a large number of out of state people there we just need the local paddlers to support the race better to have a really big race

Had a blast at the race again this year. Didn't beat my time from last year but we also didn't have a current. I did, however, beat my training time by 17 minutes! Proud of myself for completing the race in a crossover boat. Many thanks to the organizers and sponsors of the Arkansas Canoe and Kayak race!
