Great story! I work on the Green and Yampa during the summer for the USFWS and those rivers are really inspiring. This past summer i read 'Riverman', the story of Bus Hatch and how his business helped save those canyons from becoming a lake similar to Glen Canyon and Flaming Gorge. It was cool to read that book while I was actually on the river. The history around that area is amazing, and the best part, almost no one out there compared to other rivers in Utah, Colorado, and the big ditch! If anyone makes it out that way this summer I'll be working on the river and can easily get permits! Although this year doesn't look like it's gonna have a ton of water :(
