Come join Board Members and Chapter Officers for the 2012 Winter Board Meeting. ALL members of the ACC are welcome to come.
The ACC Winter Weekend will be held at Lake Fort Smith State Park February 10-12, 2012.
The weekend event is made up of our yearly planning Board of Directors meeting, hiking, boating if water is available ( there are numerous nearby paddling opportunities) and lots of time for members to socialize and discuss how our club can be made even better.
The event will begin on Friday evening at 6pm and continue through Sunday morning. The location is the Kingfisher Lodge at Lake Fort Smith State Park http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/lakefortsmith/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (the Kingfisher lodge which is located next to the Wild Turkey Lodge, is so new that it isn't even on their website yet!) . The Saturday night pot-luck is at 6pm and the BOD meeting will follow at 7:15.
The cost is 25.00 per person for the weekend, with no charge for children under the age of 18. Saturday and Sunday will include breakfast, and Saturday evening is a pot-luck style meal so be sure and bring a covered dish to share. The kitchen in the lodge will be available to use as well.

Re: Reminder: Winter Weekend and Board Meeting
Just a quick note, linens are NOT provided, so please bring your own. We have just a few beds left so rsvp quickly, it is shaping up to be a great weekend!
Come on out and share in our planning of 2012's events and activities.
There is lots to do within minutes of the lodge, mountain biking, hiking (the OHT starts right at the park) paddling, climbing (bolted sport routes as well as bouldering) and many other options in the near vicinity.

Re: Reminder: Winter Weekend and Board Meeting
suggestion for meeting.
start push to have game and fish give grants to counties, cities and state highway for litter pick up.
as we all know , most of the litter, debris and trash in the streams comes from road ways, not boaters and fishermen.
g and f seems to be one of the few agencies left that has any $.
keep arkansas beautiful gets a pittance from the same 1/8th cent sales tax that funds the state parks and g and f, not enough to be effective in anything.
i have prior commitments, otherwise i would come and make the pitch myself.
thanx for consideration.
