Need 4 to 6 Volunteers for Rockport SWRT - Victims! March 29

On March 29 we will be conducting a full scale exercise at Carpenter Dam and some of the city and county swiftwater rescue teams will be doing a rescue as part of the exercise. They will do this at Rockport. They need 4 to 6 victims to rescue. This is on a Thursday morning. You will need to get wet and get out on the rocks in the middle of the river or whatever and get rescued. I did it once and they had to carry me all the way out.

If any good able bodied paddler is interested send me an e-mail and I will pass your name along to the training officers. I am pretty sure they will buy you lunch. Otherwise no compensation. But good opportunity to build bridges between the paddling community and firemen.

ps. Hope to be on Richland Saturday and we can discuss it more then.

I can be out there in about 30 minutes if they still need some victims.

Oops I misread. I thought it was yesterday! Good thing I didn't head down there.

Do you still need victims? (Not me, asking for a guy) What are requirements for said victims?
