The Class I section of the Caddo from Highway 182 just north of Amity to Highway 84 just east of Amity (sometimes called the Amity to Amity section) can be extended three quarters of a mile by using an alternate take-out. The extra length is well worth paddling since you get to go through several more rapids, pick up some nice scenery, and avoid the somewhat difficult take-out under the Highway 84 bridge.
