Although it doesn't seem possible, another year has passed and the time has come for us to call for help! The 2012 Arkansas Canoe Club School of Whitewater Paddling will be scheduled for May 4-6, 2012.
The number of individuals that will volunteer over the next few weeks determine the number and type of classes that we will be able to offer. So, we really need to have our staff lined up and ready to go as much as possible by March 1st. If you are interested in leading a class or helping an instructor with a class or running safety, please e-mail me at marcvc@ritternet.com. Not all of the staff needs to be ACA certified, but we will need to put at least one instructor ACA certified at the appropriate level with each class. And, all staff should have rescue experience on Class II and above. We really need an do appreciate all the experienced paddlers we can get!
If you have someone you want to team up with to teach, please let us know that. It was extremely helpful last year in getting classes organized. It makes the job of getting all of the classes lined up much easier!
