Actually, hdh, that is the number (21-0) that gives you the time of the TIDE for Alabama!!

Roger: Since it is singular, shouldn't that word be "audeint?"

Stole the line from an out-of-work comic! Besides, I teach history, gummint, cibics, artz, ecconomics, and journalists! Not English!

I used to teach Anguish myself...

And if you're using the term "gummint", are you, by chance, a reader of the old "Pogo" comic strips?

(Not to mention that we are not just hijacking, but possibly harpooning and flensing, the original topic...)

Oh, well...

It's pretty bad when a 21-0 final score doesn't really tell you how bad the game was for LSU. 5 first downs, 2 yds per carry, 92 yards of offense, and only one trip across the 50 yard line. Other team has zero turnovers and only one penalty. Sounds like a really mismatched high-school football game... At least the Razorback offense actually showed up for both the games we lost this year. :)

And how about that crazy Cossatot phone gauge?!

I earned about as many credits in English as I did history for consideration of a minor, however if I'd been an English teacher, I'm certain my students would have long since grown tired of me saying, "Bad spellers of the world untie"... :D

Best Regards

Did read Pogo like all the other comic strips whether I understood them at the time or not!! But I did meet the enemy, and he was me!

As for the phone gauge that Fish references (what does that have to do with this thread on carnage?), I thought that was due to the big TIDE rolling through NOLA on Monday night that hit a level of
21' versus a sea level of 0.
