Saturday, New Years Eve Float Mulberry below Turners Bend

Post by wiredforsound » Thu Dec 29, 2011 12:24 pm

I'm thinking about floating a section of the Mulberry on Saturday below Turner Bend, maybe put in below Turners (I think it's called Big Eddy)& take out at Campbell's Cemetary, just looking to see if anyone would like to join me.

Weather forecast looks great (sunny & 60!) the water may be a little on the low side for some of you class IV paddlers, but should be floatable.

Tentative plan would be to gather at Turner Bend no later than 10 am then work out shuttle from there.

Please post up if you would interested so I can see if enough interest to venture out or you can call me at 479three8one5ninenine5.

Jeff--
I'm better to go tomorrow but I'll check to see if Sat works. And, just in case, if it rains like mad tonight  I'll probably be looking for that IV!

For those coming from the north that want to share a ride we'll be meeting in the shopping center parking lot at the southside of the corner of Hwy 16 (Huntsville Rd) & Hwy 265 (Crossover Rd) in Fayetteville at 8:30 am in the morning.

Should be at Turners Bend on the Mulberry by 10 am for everyone else that wants to join us.

Should be a beautiful day to close out 2011 on the river!
