The people have spoken.
Dec. 10 we will be giving a Level 5 SWR workshop.
This is a great one day workshop that expands on the level 4 curriculum.
Cost will be $20.00 to cover expenses and insurance.
If the weather is good the entire workshop will be at Fisher's ford.
An alternate location for the dry classroom portion has been secured for crappy weather.
Please PM me here with an e-mail address if you would like to attend.
I will be sending a list of topics to choose from for the class.

Re: Swiftwate Rescue Workshop Level 5 (Advanced) Dec. 10
What an excellent workshop! This is the first time I have had the privilege to give
this level of an advanced class. The weather worked out to our advantage. We spent
the first of the day beside the wood stove in the ManDen discussing gear and finer points
of equipment. Breaking around noon to go to Fishers' Ford with sunny and
upper 40's temps, working hard in the river was no problem.
All the "victims" returned safely, and the students put on a great display of knowledge and
skill. Just for bonus points we practiced Mechanical Advantage on some of the log jam piled
up on the island.
A great day was had by all......
Thanks goes out to Tom Burroughs, Stephen Zizner and Jim Binns for helping in ways I never
could have covered myself.
The students you need to paddle with when the going gets rough are Jeremy Riddle, Paul Shepherd
and Jason Kindall. These guys have all "advanced" their knowledge and expanded my experiences
in instructing.
Thanks to all involved.....
Steve
