Over the last week, or so, I have been struck by how much we all should appreciate the work Bill "Fish" Herring did in building the website capturing cfs and levels on most of the streams we like to paddle. In season, it is my favorite webpage:) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! Crane

Fish gave us all this boating info many years ago. It was state of the art then and continues to be.

In my various travels here and there, I will mention Fish's Ozark Creek pages and the universal comment is "man, I wish we had something like that".

Thanks Mr Fish for being a great friend and for all you have done for us boaters over the years.

I made a page like that for Texas. It's just a big solid red block. All the time.

The site that Fish put together is really great. I continue to bookmark enough it is not as useful now as when I lived in the Ozarks.

In many aspects, the Ozark Creek pages has attributes that are better than American Whitewater's (AW) National Flow Data set.

A difference between Ozark Creek page and AW's is that AW has the potential to be more interactive, involve contributions from more people and alter paddlers to changes in river hazards. From that standpoint, I would encourage AW members to help populate that site with more information.

Fish is definitely overrated. I think he has ridden the backs of true Americans, to accomplish his ulterior motives. I personally boycott the OWP, so long as it doesn't sound like there is going to be any rain...

Nope, The Fish is for real.

Made my entire living operating, programming and managing computers. Was there in the early days when Fish was doing the start up programming on his ozark pages. He's the real deal and he did it on his own.
