Pool Sessions in NW Arkansas - Jones Center
The NW chapter has scheduled the Jones Center Pool for Roll Sessions this winter. The time is 8:30 to 11:00. We ask that all participants enter the Jones Center Located on Emma street in Springdale through the West doors at Pool deck level. Please rinse your boats before coming and again before putting them in the pool. The west entrance is accessable from the rear of the building. The stairs are on the south west corner of the building in the playground. There is plenty of parking on the west side as well. We usually have plenty of experienced paddlers available for advice during the roll practice sessions.
Not required, but we request a $5 donation to help offset the cost. This money goes into our fund to offer more pool sessions in the summer.
Where: Jones Center
When:
December 10, 2011 8:30am – 11am
December 17, 2011 8:30am – 11am
January 14, 2012 8:30am – 11am
January 28, 2012 8:30am – 11am
February 11, 2012 8:30am – 11am
What to bring:
Kayak gear
optional: a friend (if you don't have a friend one will be provided for you). This a good way to introduce your buddies to kayaking and to the club.

Canoe Rolling too!
I will probably NOT be available for Canoe rolling practice during the December dates, but am planning on trying to go to all of the sessions in 2012. I will try to bring multiple canoes if I have them in my garage the day of the roll session.
Thanks,
Paul
Thanks,
Paul

I just may be able to make the one on Dec 17th. I'll be coming in Dec. 16th-26th. Maybe I can talk KevoHudd into bringing one of his extra boats, since they are just collecting dust anyways.

Re: Winter Pool Sessions in NW Arkansas - Jones Center
Seems like a bad idea if we're still limited to the one pool, especially if they are allowing other people to swim in the pool next to us. Limited space, plus a lot of potential to throw the ball out of bounds etc... Plus it seems like those sessions are pretty crowded... I dunno.Regud wrote:I don't know if we have ever asked... but I doubt it.
See ya'll tomorrow, either way :-p

Hi All,
I'm a new member and new kayak owner, are the roll sessions open to newbies such as myself, or do I need to develop some skills before being able to participate.
Thanks,
Jerry Cookson
