Will anything hold for Friday and Saturday?

Post by Big Daddy D » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:06 pm

Due to work and family commitments, the likelihood of getting away before Friday are slim. Looks like the Tot will be low by then. I'm not as familiar with the rivers up in NWA.

Which rivers and/or creeks are most likely to still be good this Friday and Saturday?

I already know all about that page and I can read a gauge. I'm just trying to get a prognostication from those who know which rivers tend to hold longer and are most likely to be still running two or three days from now.

My crystal ball is a bit dusty but Cadron, Mulberry, Piney, Il Bayou are all good bets to be at least runnable at some level both days. Cadron may be on the high side Fri? Tot and Little Red and a few other are prossible lower level runs for Fri.

The Cossatot level prediction chart puts Cossatot at 3.4 Friday afternoon, 3.1 Sat afternoon. That supports Brad's guesses...

Hopefully the Mulberry will still be there Friday. That is my best opportunity for paddling between turkey feasts. Let me know if you make it this far from the Big D and perhaps we can scare up a floatilla.

I was packed and ready to go last night, but couldn't bring myself to get on the road at midnight for one day of paddling. I may head up Thursday after Thanksgiving dinner though. The last time I was on the Tot was around 3.5. It was a little boney, but there were lots of opportunities for boofs and rock spins. :)

I am open Friday as well and will be located in Rsvl for Thanksgiving. I am being optimistic for the Tot, but would have to agree with the crystal ball predictions. I am not sure if I have met all of you but I would love to paddle with you Friday. I am more hungry for rushing water (no matter how small) than turkey this Thanksgiving.

I want to paddle somewhere but not skilled for the tot. Piney would be great. :D

I would be up for the Piney, Tot or Mulberry. More likely the Piney or Mulberry...perhaps the Upper Tot if it has enough water.

I won't have internet access Thursday afternoon, but my phone number is
Five zero 1- eight 3 1- one eight 8 six.

I will check the board Thurs night maybe and definitely Friday morning.

Which part of Piney are y'all thinking about? I might be in, but am still leaning toward the Buffy 14 bridge to Rush.

I'm also interested in getting on the water Friday. Will watch message board to see who's going where.
