AWESOME! Big Big waves, with lots of pushy FAST water!! Could be a great close to LR afternoon lap running river. If it holds we are going to try to make it tomorrow!

you take hwy 10 to hwy 9 to Lake Winona Rd. All together about 30 min from west LR.

We may head out there around noon to check it out at a little lower level too.

Alright, heres the deal. Day 2 the water was .6 of a ft above the spillway. Day one was 18 in above. Big difference! But at the lower level, we ran 2 laps of the class III+(at bigger level) put in / first .2 miles, then took it about 4 miles down river to a low water bridge. EASY shuttle!! The run was great. Lots of unexpected bluffs and very nice scenery. Tight rapids with lots of "slot" moves thorugh trees. Very constant run with not much flat water between rapids. A few places had strainers twards the end, but can be seen from the slack water above the rapids. I will be going back frequently!! 30 minutes from LR!!!

Actually I never saw the signs until someone pointed them out after I scouted the run. Seems to be some wear on the hiking trail. Gonna head out that way to look around for something to paddle.

what kind of boat would it take to float this when the water is rolling fast over the spillway road ??

i tried it in a native hybrid and was big mistake !!

what about a sea eagle inflatable ??

thx !!
