Some of us cant get the rest of the day off anyone want to paddle Tomorrow in NWA?

Thinking he winslow run on the west fork, perhaps lee creek and open to suggestions too. It supposed to rain all day today...4793013361

Hey man I get out of class round 9:30 Wednesday and can be home by 10 and packed soonafter. You ever been on the Hogeye Run? Short 3.5 miles of fun class II+, and a castle! I'm also considering trying a lower pullout point that might be considered exploratory.

I gotta be back by 5/5:30 though for UATV, but Hogeye is a very short trip from Fayetteville. Bout time on all this rain!!

How early are we talking and where are you thinkin about goin Kev? I don't have anything to do until 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, I could possibly get in for a Lee, Fall or Blackburn creek tomorrow, they're all running.

Never ran Hogeye but do enjoy the Winslow - West Fork run, interested in both and whatever in the morning.

I hate to bust your bubbles but hogeye fall blackburn and Winslow will all be to low in the am unless we get more good rain tonight.

There may still be a scrapedown to be found on those reaches but nothing more. You may want to hit up a non headwater stream portion of the west fork or lee for a non scraper.

The west fork gauge is still climbing ill hold out hope. If it looks good early lets go. Otherwise... we are halfway to lee creek right? Jnewcomb ill text in a while when i get a definate time. Thinking 9ish.

Is anyone boating anywhere Wed. in NWA? If so, where? Several creeks look good and I'll be loaded and ready in the a.m.!

I agree with Half Ton, the West Fork will drop out quick here in Winslow. Looked that way tonight on the drive home from my friend's house. I'll try to get my eyes on it Wed morning and will post up.

Well guys, I just finished a school assignment, and it's 2:30AM. Per current gauge levels, I'm thinking the options are:

Frog Bayou - Definitely will be running optimum
West Fork of the White - 85% chance running optimal
Lee Creek - 85% Chance running optimal
Middle Fork of the White - 40-60% chance of running, but it's supposed to be mighty exciting

Blackburn and the Hogeye run are definitely out

Yall text me in the morning four 79 ate 7 won 8 six 69. I'm gonna drive to the UofA parking garage fully loaded kayak on top and ready to bolt from campus at 9:25AM Sharp. Can't wait! Finally!!

West Fork is low at the ball park (~.5-1' deep). One would be dragging over the first drop. Might be good lower down at the rest-area?

Brentwood Bridge down oughta be good for certain, maybe just a little scrapey in places due to the overwide and braided condition of the stream channel. Overall, still a fun and close run.

I'd have to say that Lee and Frog are my faves for sure at these levels.

Tony - when you go to Blackburn don't expect too much. It's all wooded up and has had a lot of erosion that has taken away from the scenry and difficulty. I was a little dissapointed after imagining based on the OWP description. It's still creeky though and a change of pace whenever the other local runs are too high or have become boring.
The dang road's washed out too, so its about a mile or two hike in with the boat. Don't forget the advil.

Y'all have fun out there. Holler if you need a shuttle drived.

Has anybody ever lowered their boats off of the I-540 bridge over Blackburn and floated down to Lee? I guess maybe predawn drop with rope and leave one vehicle on the shoulder like it broke down and do it fast before the state trooper says no?
